Artist Spotlight: David Cook
We’re putting the spotlight on 2008 American Idol winner David Cook for the effortless way he used SET.Live on tour.
We’re putting the spotlight on hip-hop/rap artist Yelawolf and his show openers–Caskey and Cowboy Killer–for the collaborative way this dynamic trio used SET.Live on tour.
Yelawolf was the first of these three artists to use SET.Live and he loved the concept of SET.Live from the beginning. When Yelawolf launched a headline tour, he wanted to get supporting act Cowboy Killer (who he also co-manages) using SET.Live too, which snowballed as they recommended SET.Live to Caskey.
All 3 artists ended up using SET.Live for the entire tour and they all collabed to create unique fan experiences and really cool incentive prizes to get fans excited to engage and share their contact info.
Yelawolf is an American rapper and singer born in Alabama and raised in Tennessee and Alabama. He embarked on his career independently in 2005, releasing one EP and four mixtapes until 2010. It wasn't until 2010's Trunk Muzik EP that Yelawolf started to gain mainstream attention, culminating with Yelawolf signing a deal with Interscope Records. His first release on a major label was a reworking of Trunk Muzik, titled Trunk Muzik 0-60.

As a solo artist, he gained attention for his 2015 mixtape Black Sheep 2, which was met with critical praise. He parted ways with Cash Money in 2020 and released the collaborative album Yelawolf Black Sheep with Yelawolf the following year. Since departing the label, he's released four independent studio albums.
